• Position Title: Training Officer – Security
• Reference: 20003606
• Location: Tabubil, Western Province

Reporting to the Superintendent Tactical Support, the Training Officer – Security is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality training programs for the Asset Protection Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver high-quality training programs including Certificate IV in Security, basic ICAO and ISPS Code, and Workplace Alcohol and Drug Safety

• Address skill gaps within the Asset Protection Department through Training Needs Analyses

• Design courses to meet national and international standards and foster collaboration with law enforcement and regulatory bodies

• Ensure security personnel are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and professionalism to meet organizational and safety goals

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Development with current PNG NTC accreditation

• Minimum of five years’ experience in Learning and Development with a focus on Security and Aviation training

• Background in law enforcement, prosecution, or investigation is highly desirable

• Sound knowledge of PNG criminal law, court procedures, and basic investigation practices

• Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs aligned with ICAO, ISPS, and OHS standards

• Strong skills in Training Needs Analysis, adult learning principles, and HR development

• Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills with high attention to detail
