Position: Heavy Equipment Operator

K92 Mining Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join its operations in the Eastern Highlands Province.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient construction and delivery of drilling pads to support the company's exploration drilling programs in challenging mountainous terrain.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Operating and maintaining mini excavators and skid steer loaders in accordance with company plant operation, maintenance and fault-reporting procedures.
• Conducting pre-start inspections and basic equipment troubleshooting to identify and report mechanical faults or potential safety issues.
• Constructing drill pads, helipads and access walkways in mountainous exploration areas.
• Monitoring work pad conditions and surrounding environments to ensure operational safety and ground stability.
• Ensuring all equipment is operated safely and efficiently while complying with company procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Reporting equipment faults and carrying out routine maintenance checks as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• A valid Class 4 driver's licence permitting the operation of excavators on public roads.
• Demonstrated experience operating excavators weighing less than 20 tonnes.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good knowledge of mini excavators and their operational requirements.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• General knowledge of mobile equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to work in challenging mountainous exploration environments.
