About the Role
The Senior Trainer – Exploration & Drilling will be responsible for delivering and managing technical training programs to support operational needs. The role ensures all training meets company standards and external accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve training programs and materials
- Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Deliver on-the-job and classroom training
- Manage training budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance
- Prepare reports and monitor training progress
- Coordinate weekly meetings and reviews
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership training
- Promote workplace health, safety, and environmental standards
- Ensure all training meets company and legal requirements
Requirements
- Relevant qualification or experience in training within mining or resource sector
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in competency-based training systems
- Knowledge of training compliance and legislation
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and systems like PRONTO
- National Training Council accreditation (desirable)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to coach and mentor trainees and staff
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
