  • Reporting to: CMCA & Sustainability Superintendent


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop a comprehensive CMCA review plan in consultation with the CMCA & Sustainability Superintendent.
  • Identify risks associated with the CMCA review project and devise mitigation plans to establish robust controls.
  • Formulate compensation agreements and frameworks in line with best practices in the mining industry.
  • Coordinate with the media department to develop content for media and press releases.
  • Oversee all CMCA engagement projects by collaborating with other CR&S Department teams.
  • Work closely with OTML line departments and the Principal Legal team to ensure CMCA review agreements are properly structured, documented, and executed.
  • Support the Superintendent CMCA & SP in effectively communicating key messages from OTML to communities during village meetings in mine-impacted areas.
  • Coordinate environment, social, and government (ESG) related activities within the CR&S department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications for Development, Social Work, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining or resource industry.
  • Profound knowledge of Compensation Agreement Framework aligned with relevant PNG legislations.
  • Exceptional presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, coupled with strong communication and attention to detail.
