Over the next few weeks, positions will become available in the Power and Electrical Maintenance Section of the Asset Management & Infrastructure Department, we are encouraging suitably qualified and experience people in the following fields to lodge Expressions of Interest online.
Plant Electrical
Supervisor, Electrical
- Current PNG Electrical License, registered with PNG Power
- Have trade qualifications compliant to NATTB Electrical Trade.
- Have previous experience in Supervisory or Leadership roles in Mine Processing, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Have a demonstrated high level of health & safety awareness and a demonstrated ability to uphold organisational policy’s & procedures
- Have a strong knowledge and demonstrated understanding of AS/NZS electrical standards & wiring rules
- Have a basic understanding of CMMS & work management processes
- Have a high voltage switching qualification with proven knowledge and experience (desirable)
- Have a current light vehicle driving licence
Tradesperson, Electrical
- Have a current PNG Electrical license registered with PNG Power
- Have Trade Qualifications compliant to NATTB Electrical Trade
- Have previous maintenance experience in Mine Processing, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of safety hazard awareness using risk assessment tools such as, JHA/JSA, FLRA, Take 5 or others
- Have sound knowledge & demonstrated understanding of AS/NZS electrical standards & wiring rules
- Have a current light vehicle driving licence
- Be able to work on shift
- Have a high voltage switching qualification with proven knowledge and experience (desirable)
Senior Planner, Electrical
- Have a Bachelor of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Have previous maintenance planning experience in Mining, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Have a strong knowledge and a demonstrated understanding of work management processes
- Have a high level of health & safety awareness and a demonstrated ability to uphold organisational policy’s & procedures
- Experience with Oracle or similar CMMS
- Good computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project
Planner, Electrical
- Have a Bachelor of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Have previous maintenance planning experience in Mining, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Have a strong knowledge and a demonstrated understanding of work management processes
- Have a high level of health & safety awareness and a demonstrated ability to uphold organisational policy’s & procedures
- Experience with Oracle or similar CMMS
- Good computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project
Engineer, Electrical
- Have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 3yrs previous experience in Mine Processing, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Have a high level of health & safety awareness and a demonstrated ability to uphold organisational policy’s & procedures
- Have a strong knowledge and demonstrated understanding of AS/NZS electrical standards & wiring rules
- Be familiar & competent in the use of AutoCAD
Site Services Electrical
Supervisor, Electrical
- Have a current PNG Electrical license, registered with PNG Power
- Have Trade Qualifications compliant to NATTB Electrical Trade
- Have previous experience in Supervisory or Leadership roles for Non Process Equipment in Mining, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Have a high level of health & safety awareness and a demonstrated ability to uphold organisational policy’s & procedures
- Have a strong knowledge and demonstrated understanding of AS/NZS electrical standards & wiring rules
- Have a basic understanding of CMMS & work management processes
- Have a current light vehicle driving licence
Linesman
Tradesperson, Linesman
- Have a PNG Power Linesman trade certificate
- Have current PNG Heavy Vehicle, Light Vehicle and Elevated Work Platform licenses
- Have a minimum 3-5yrs experience as linesman in the transmission & distribution industry
- Have the ability to work offsite in adverse conditions.
- Pole top rescue (desirable)
- Have a high voltage switching qualification with proven knowledge and experience (desirable)
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of safety hazard awareness using risk assessment tools such as, JHA/JSA, FLRA, Take 5 or others
- Have chainsaw operation competencies (desirable)
Instrumentation & Control
Technician, Instrumentation
- Have a recognized trade qualification in Instrumentation
- Have previous maintenance experience in Mine Processing, Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry environments
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of safety hazard awareness using risk assessment tools such as, JHA/JSA, FLRA, Take 5 or others
- Be able to demonstrate a very good understanding of electrical, electronic, instrument, pneumatic and hydraulic symbols & terminology
- Have a current light vehicle driving licence
- Be able to work on shift
Underground Electrical
Foreman, Electrical
- Have a current PNG Electrical license registered with PNG Power
- Have trade qualifications compliant to NATTB Electrical Trade
- Have previous experience in Supervisory or Leadership roles in an Underground Mining environment
- Have a high level of health & safety awareness and a demonstrated ability to uphold organisational policy’s & procedures
- Have a strong knowledge and demonstrated understanding of AS/NZS electrical standards & wiring rules
- Have a high voltage switching qualification with proven knowledge and experience
- Familiar with Microsoft applications – excel, word, project
- Have a good understanding of CMMS & work management processes
- Have a high voltage switching qualification with proven knowledge and experience (desirable)

Mobilization Requirement
- This position is open to PNG Citizens Only
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and procedures.
- Rotation is FIFO, 28 days on and 14 days off
- Adhere to Covid19 Protocols
- Must Have an up to date Police clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months)
