Job Description:

The Commercial Analyst will report to the General Manager Commercial at Kumul Petroleum’s Head Office in Port Moresby. The primary objective of this role is to provide quality and timely economic, commercial and investment advice with minimal supervision within Kumul Petroleum’s Business Development department. The Commercial Analyst will support the commercial and new business workflow on current projects.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide analytical support to the commercial team on a variety of petroleum assets; 
  • Provide support to identify new business opportunities;
  • Participate in interdisciplinary project teams and external meetings if required;
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion;
  • Adhere to Kumul Petroleum values in behaviour, safety performance and work ethics.
  • Qualifications, Experiences, Skills


Essential


  • Degree in economics, or similar;
  • Experience in DCF modelling;
  • Good knowledge of macro and micro economics;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Commitment, good timekeeping, and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable

  • Experience in a similar role in the petroleum industry;
  • Post graduate study in a commercial subject.
