ACCOUNTS & ADMIN OFFICER

Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Manager Logistics, you will be responsible for effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative duties for the Logistics Department. You will be required to collaboratively work with the respective Superintendents & Supervisors within the Department.

Your role will involve:

  • Administering logistics’ Finance & Accounting functions such as, but not limited to, Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Forecasting, Budgeting, Operational & Capital Cost Analysis, Management Accounting Reporting, and Operations Decision-Support Advisory;
  • Updating the Manager on critical-operational issues on a daily, weekly, & monthly basis;
  • Maintaining and developing business relationships with Logistics, Planning & Shipping, Aviation, Transport, Maintenance Operations and Contracts & Procurement;
  • Ensuring high competency and effective administrative systems are in place to process the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accruals, and Capital Expenditures; and
  • Ensuring 100% compliance with relevant accounting standards and OTML Internal Policy Guidelines and alert management to instances where non-compliance exists.

To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from a reputable institution;
  • A registered Accountant with CPA PNG;
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in areas of financing;
  • Excellent skills in customer service, administration and office management; and
  • Display strong written & verbal communication, interpersonal and team skills.
