Ramu NiCo Management (MCC) Limited is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Licensed Electrician to join its Electrical & Compliance Section at the Basamuk Refinery.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining, installing and troubleshooting electrical systems, power generation equipment and process control systems essential to the safe and efficient operation of the refinery.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems within the Basamuk Refinery.
• Maintain and troubleshoot process control refinery switchgear.
• Carry out fault-finding on generators, switchgear and electrical control panels.
• Ensure the safe operation of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Calibrate and service instrumentation equipment.
• Perform safe isolation and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Support plant reliability and minimise operational downtime.
• Ensure compliance with PNG electrical standards and mine safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold a valid Electrician's Licence.
• Minimum of three (3) years' relevant work experience, preferably in refinery operations, mineral processing or a similar industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, generators, instrumentation and control systems.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical fault-finding, PLCs and industrial control systems.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
• Ability to work in an industrial refinery environment and undertake shift rotations.
