About the Role
New Porgera Limited is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Advisor – Program, Employee Development to join the Human Resources and Employee Development team. Reporting to the Superintendent – Employee Development, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating NPL’s key programs, including the Scholarship Program, Industrial Training Program, and Graduate Development Program.
The successful candidate will ensure these programs align with business objectives and contribute to the development of a capable and skilled national workforce.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and implement NPL’s Scholarship, Industrial Training, and Graduate Development Programs.

Design, coordinate, and monitor employee development plans.

Conduct and facilitate training in line with the annual training schedule.

Participate in recruitment and selection processes for program participants.

Manage policies, procedures, and compliance related to employee development programs.

Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of program records and databases.

Deliver soft skills and professional development training sessions.

Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Education.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential).

Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing graduate or trainee development programs.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training delivery and assessment.
-
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-
Excellent communication, coordination, and data management skills.
-
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Mobilization Requirements
This is a site-based, national staff role on a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off.
Successful candidates must:

Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Provide a current Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).

Be willing to relocate or travel as required.
