Underground Mining – Various Operator Roles
Position Objective
The following vacancies exit within the Underground Mine Section of the Mine Department reporting to the Underground Development & Production Superintendents. The successful candidates will join a dynamic Underground team and will be required to perform responsibilities to a high standard:
- Operator – Agi Truck – Projects UG
- Operator – Dispatch
- Operator – Jumbo – UG Development
- Operator – Charging – Development
- Operator – Haulage Underground
- Operator – Production Drilling
- Operator – Nipper – Services
- Operator – Diamond Drilling
- Operator – Remote Loader
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in a manner that will not endanger self or any other person
- Through the use of procedures to get the job done, ensure that improvements to the procedures are captured and changes are made to controlled documents by custodian
- Ensure effective handover at end of shift
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health, safety rules and procedures
To be suitable for this role, you will possess the following:
- A minimum of Grade 10 Education
- 5 years hands on experience on all or anyone of these equipment
- Be properly licenced for the various mobile equipment
- Be of good health and physically fit
- Be able to speak and understand English
- Have good employment records
- Be able to work under Expat supervision
- Demonstrated Safety knowledge
Mobilization Requirement
- All Applicants must have an up to date police clearance Certificate, Acquired within the last 6 months
- Ability to successfully pass a pre- employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Be a Local Porgeran (Cat 1 or Cat 2) Candidate and available to start immediately
- The Roster is 14 days on and 7 days off
- Willing to adhere to Covid 19 Protocols
