Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape says China has given an undertaking to buy additional gas that is produced at the Papua LNG and P’nyang gas projects.

He says China is the major buyer of PNG produce, and the Government will engage with them more in commerce and trade and other aspects of its bilateral relationship in future.
Meantime, the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, will hold bilateral talks with his PNG counterpart Soroi Eoe in Port Moresby today.
He will also pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister, James Marape.
Wang Yi arrived in Port Moresby yesterday on a special chartered private jet.
