About Oil Search
Oil Search is PNG’s largest company and operates all of the country’s producing oil fields and has a 29% interest in the PNG LNG Project. With exciting growth opportunities like the potential expansion of the PNG LNG Project and proposed development of the Papua LNG Project, Oil Search is a great place for PNG graduates to discover and explore their potential. Peopleconnexion PNG has been engaged by Oil Search to identify high performing PNG graduates to join the Oil Search Development Programme.

About the Oil Search Graduate Programme
Since 2006, Oil Search has hired and trained local graduates in PNG from various technical disciplines, including oil and gas production, maintenance engineering, environmental management and finance. Over the past 5 years, the retention rate among graduates has averaged 85%.

The Oil Search Graduate Programme includes:

  • Job placements to ensure exposure to various parts of the company;
  • Two residential programmes to develop personal and business leadership skills;
  • Ongoing support and monitoring;
  • Competitive remuneration package including a host of job-related benefits, from mentorship to health and well-being programmes.
  • Oil Search accepts graduates with a range of degrees and is now welcoming applications from petroleum, mining and chemical engineering graduates for the Graduate Development Programme.

Key criteria:

  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or above (as demonstrated in your most recent academic transcript)
  • Are in the final year of study or have graduated within the last 2 years
  • Have a strong desire to learn and develop in their career
  • Are motivated and able to work in a diverse and multi-cultural environment
  • Have (or are working towards) a Bachelor’s degree in the required discipline, from a recognised institution in PNG or overseas
