The ABG member for Motuna Huyono/Tokunutui and Minister for Peace Agreement Implementation, ALBERT PUNGHAU yesterday called on the Panguna landowners to work with Bougainville leaders in deciding a partner that can develop the Panguna mine.
Speaking at the RTG presentation at the Airways Hotel in Port Moresby,
MR.PUNGHAU told Panguna landowners aligned with RTG to make sure they involve Bougainvillean leaders as many people died fighting for Panguna and Panguna was no longer just a landowner issue.
He said if done properly PANGUNA can create the funds needed by Bougainville to benefit the landowners and the people of Bougainville.
MR. PUNGHAU thanked RTG for presenting their offer to the Government and leaders of Bougainville.
He said Panguna ignited the Bougainville conflict and handling Panguna the right way can also provide the final solution for lasting peace on Bougainville. New Dawn FM
