Pruaitch tells Hela landowners to blame themselves, not Oil Search

STOP blaming Oil Search but blame yourselves for lack of development in Hela Province, says Papua New Guinea opposition leader Patrick Pruaitch.

He told the Governor Philip Undialu not to shift blame for lack of development in his province because he is part of the government that is “unlawfully diverting tax credit funds to prestige projects”.

“It is true that tax credit funds are meant to help project area communities since the scheme was initiated in 1990 but the government, which Mr Undialu is a prominent member, continues to misuse the tax credit scheme,” Mr Pruaitch said.
