Highlands Pacific Limited has confirmed further copper and gold mineralisation and extensions of mineralised zone at three holes in Star Mountains, Western in Papua New Guinea.
It said the three were part of a total of nine holes for 5387 metres drilling which was completed in the December quarter of last year.
“Assay results for the first six holes were released during 2015, confirming the presence of copper/gold mineralisation at the two prospects which were the focus of the campaign,” chief executive officer John Gooding said in a statement.
The three included two at the Olgal prospect and one at the Kum Kom prospect.
“The final three holes also have encountered broad zones of medium grade porphyry style mineralisation beyond the previous North West and south eastern limits of the known mineralised zones,” Gooding said.
