The Process Operations Department at the OK Tedi Mine in Papua New Guinea is seeking a suitability qualified and experienced person for the Mill Process Trainer role. Reporting to the Superintendent Mill Operations & Maintenance Training, you will coordinate the development and implementation of skills training to ensure ongoing progression of all Process Operations personnel.
You will assist the Operations Supervisors to develop and implement training & assessment programs for all technical and non-technical employees in identified competencies of the Mill Department Operational Sections. You will liaise with mill department operations workgroups to establish, review and maintain competencies matrices providing reports for level advancement within the single line structure and meeting required training goals and localization targets.
To be considered, you must possess Cert IV in Training & Assessment TAE40110 or equivalent with 3 years proven training experience in the areas of Process Plant operations. You will also have Certificate III in Process Plant Operations or IV in Metalliferous Mining Operations (Processing) or recognised equivalent with 5 years’ experience in Mineral Processing Plant in a safety or supervisory role. Must have knowledge of crushing, SAG/Ball milling, flotation and thickening processes; have high level competency in computer applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and demonstrate well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with team members and course participants at all levels.
